After a few months of blogging on The Food Illusion I decided it was time to do something big, something bold, and something that will get as many people as possible to not only read about eating real foods, but to also make a first-hand commitment to this important change. Therefore, my family and I launched:
For 100 days straight the four of us are not going to eat a single ounce of processed food and we are asking you to join in by taking the 10-day pledge. If our family (that does not live on a farm, has two young children, and a husband that travels frequently) can do this for a 100 days then absolutely anyone can do it for 10 days!
Visit 100 Days of Real Food to learn more. And thank you for your support!
Wow! 10 days seems rough, but like you said compared to 100 ten should be a walk in the park.
10 days to feeling better. No problem. It isn’t something you just do and then stop. I have been on whole foods for 25 days now. I have lost weight, have more energy, and don’t feel all of the toxins in my body. Unfortunately it took a doctor telling me that I was insulin resistant and if I dont’ change I will have a heart attack in the next ten years. Either way, even though it has been hard to do I am glad that I am doing it. Good luck to all who try it. Thanks for the site for many ideas.
Good for you!
Looking forward to coming home from vacation so that our family can begin the process of cleaning out the pantry and starting our 10 days of non processed foods. After watching Food Inc. last night and reading In Defense of Foods with my husband our committment has grown toward leading a more healthy lifestyle and supporting our local farmers.
Thanks for the time you spend researching and creating recipes for us as we also learn how to change the way we eat!
I am so glad that you are both feeling convinced and ready to get started! Can’t wait to hear how it all goes!
